A family story

Over seventy years of hospitality

The new Pontejel Bierstube Forst opened its doors in December 2019 in line with the Forst beerhall formula.
The house was bought in the 1920s by Attilio Cazzetta, the grandfather of the current owners on their mother's side.
In the early 1950s, just before the 1956 Winter Olympics, sisters Silvia and Gemma set up a restaurant-guesthouse.
Their grandsons continued in the family business, calling the building Pontejel, after the little bridge over a stream which crossed the square of the same name.
Pontejel Bierstube was designed to conserve the style of what was originally an Austrian police station. Our typically local cuisine and Forst beers are served in a cosy family-run atmosphere.

Restaurant and hotel since the 1950s, from 2019 Bierstube FORST.

The restaurant is now managed by Carlo, Marco and Lorenzo Barozzi, who have renovated the family restaurant that was already well-known and popular in the centre of Cortina d'Ampezzo.
